What to Do to Rent a Yacht
When you decide to rent a yacht, you should first contact one of the agencies that do marine tourism and can rent yachts. Depending on the type of yacht you want to rent, you will be offered options for renting a yacht that is suitable for the route you want to go and large enough for the number of people staying. You can look at the relevant online companies on their websites to get information on this matter and to ask your questions, and you can examine them in detail from here.
Yacht Rental Conditions
The services offered by yacht rental companies vary. The criteria that each company will request may be different, but some conditions are the same for most companies. The fuel cost of the yacht you rent will be entirely your responsibility. When renting a yacht, reservations are usually made from Saturday to the following Saturday. Making a reservation in advance for the date you want to rent a yacht, a portion of the rental fee may be requested in line with the demand. A full list of people going on a boat holiday (in the form of T.C. number, name, surname) may be requested. Companies may ask for a deposit for their boats; it will be covered from the deposit in case of any damage to the boat upon return from the holiday. In addition, most companies also charge a final cleaning fee for the boat from their customers.
Is a Captain Required for Yacht Rental?
You may not want to have a captain on board when renting a yacht. If you are one of those who love to use boats as a sport and hobby, you need to present some documents during the yacht rental process. You must have an Amateur Mariner's Certificate (ADB for short). This certificate is a document that individuals must have to use boats for sports and recreational purposes at sea. Additionally, if the company from which you will rent the boat is not sure of your experience, they will not allow you to rent the boat. Furthermore, a new "Transit log" is required for each rental period to sail in Turkish waters. The Yacht Registration Certificate, or "Transit Log" for short, is an official document approved by the Port Authority, containing the identity information of all crew members, which is necessary for navigation.
