Mistakes Leading Marriage to Divorce

Postponing and accumulating reactions to a problem that arises has undoubtedly always caused the situation to worsen.

It is known by everyone that divorces have increased recently. So, what are the situations that cause these divorces? Let's examine them. If even one of the couples starts harshly at the beginning of a discussion, this situation drives the course of the argument, and therefore the course of their marriage, to a worse state. Displaying an aggressive attitude in arguments; shouting, or even using hurtful, demeaning sentences towards the other person, escalates arguments and increases resentment. The constant criticism and belittling of each other by spouses cause cracks to appear in the foundation of the marriage. This situation becoming commonplace is particularly dangerous. Criticism and belittling can escalate to situations like making fun of and name-calling, which have no place (or should have no place) in marriage.

The biggest problem is that mistakes are not corrected.

Every postponed situation is like a snowball; as it progresses and new ones accumulate on top of it, it grows and can lead to situations we can call overflow. Initially small problems can thus grow and cause intense and exhausting arguments. Furthermore, this situation can also lead to the remembering and reminding of past pains. Constantly remembering and being reminded of the past causes past negative events to resurface repeatedly and be discussed more intensely than before. Spouses wear each other down by constantly saying things like, "You did this back then," "You didn't do that, that's why this happened." Of course, there will be mistakes, there will be hurt. We are all human. Spending a lifetime with one person is truly difficult. Mistakes will inevitably happen. They always say the important thing is to learn from those mistakes. That's true, you learn from your mistake and don't repeat it, but there's something else that needs to be done before that. Apologizing for the mistake you made. Many people are incapable of saying humane sentences like "I'm sorry," "I didn't mean to hurt you" when necessary. They even see apologizing and admitting their mistake as weakness. You cannot imagine the number of marriages that have ended because this simple and humane act did not occur.
