Thanks to the initial public offering of Türk Telekom in 2008, which was the seventh largest globally and the largest in Turkey, the T.C. Treasury Undersecretariat generated approximately 1.9 billion dollars (2.4 billion TL) in revenue. Through this process, 95% of the demands from institutional investors and 6% of the demands from investors with high purchasing power were met, while all demands from PTT employees, Türk Telekom employees, and small savers were fulfilled.
